Freshly Plated

What is Freshly Plated?

This project aims to enhance user experience by simplifying the process of selecting, customizing, and ordering meal kits. Through thoughtful design and seamless navigation, the platform will prioritize user convenience, offer personalized recommendations, and streamline the ordering process. Key features include interactive recipe browsing and intuitive customization options. By focusing on user-centric design principles, the goal is to elevate customer satisfaction and engagement, ultimately driving increased adoption and retention for the meal prep kit delivery service.

How it started

Our research revealed that people are very interested in saving money and preparing their own meals, but are also deeply invested in being independent in their choices.

Personas

Tal Refaeli

Tal is 30 years old, married with 2 children, and has a thriving career as an architect. She is very busy and loves cooking, but she feels she doesn't have the time to look for new recipes or source ingredients.

Shahar Shalom

Shahar is a 35 year old, Software Engineer from Tel Aviv. He loves hosting meals but is looking for new and interesting options for what to serve. He lacks confidence in the kitchen and is looking to find his groove.

Ben Ender

The 32-year-old Financial Advisor lives on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Ben is sick of the recipes he regularly prepares and wants to make new things, but he hates the idea of spending money on costly ingredients he'll only use once.

User Flows

Several user flows and use cases were developed over the course of the project. These are just a few. It is important to note, that several evolved over the course of development of the project, as things began to take shape and become more, or less, effective, from a user experience perspective.

Design

A fresh design with an easy look and feel was applied, all while adjusting for localization, user centric design principles, and ease of use.

This project was originated as part of my midterm project at the Technion’s UX Course.
